Winter resorts in Morocco

Morocco is a country known for its geographical diversity, of course, the great majority of foreign tourists (especially Europeans) seek the sun, the hot sands of the Sahara desert, which you can visit at every time of the year, but in Morocco, there is also the Atlas and Rif mountain chains, and some beautiful mountain resorts which you can also visit in the winter.

Oukaïmeden

In Morocco, there is two main winter station, the first one and the most important is Oukaïmeden, it’s a ski resort in the Atlas mountains near Jebel Toubkal, and it’s at an altitude of between 2,600 meters and 3200 meters, its proximity from Marrakech makes its reach very easy, but we have to mention the traffic jam that you may face on the weekends and the holidays!

Skiing is the most important activity that you can do at Oukaïmeden, for moments you can feel yourself like a professional skier, but it's not the only activity, because you can also take the Aerial lift to go to the top of Oukaïmeden, where we can guarantee you a magical view; the sand of far Desert appear like a painting when the sky is clear.

You can also ride a barbarian horse for a ride, buy some souvenirs, and for lunch, there is nothing better than a delicious Moroccan Tagine.  

And If you want to stay, there are some hotels and chalets of course.

And finally, you cannot leave Oukaïmeden before see the beautiful lake there.

Michlifen

Michlifen is a ski resort near the city of Ifrane in the Middle Atlas, it's located in a crater of volcanic origin at 2,100 meters above sea level altitude; it is covered with snow from mid-November to the end of March.

And like Oukaïmeden, there are a lot of activities to do in Michlifen, ski of course and also you can enjoy your journey by riding the Aerial lift.
