Ouzoud Waterfalls
Morocco is a country of geographical diversity, while many people believe that there is only Sahara and sands, Morocco contains actually four mountain chains with snowfalls, and rivers, rich vegetation, biodiversity, and of course, beautiful waterfalls.
One of the most famous waterfalls in Morocco is Ouzoud.
Ouzoud Waterfalls are located in the region of Azilal, 150 kilometers away from the city of Marrakech, while it’s away from the capital Rabat by 350 kilometers, its location in the mountains of the Middle Atlas made it an ideal destination for tourists whether coming from inside Morocco or outside it.
The waterfalls of Ouzoud reaches a height of about 110 meters, and it’s surrounded by Oak trees, willow and orchard trees of pomegranate, almond, olive, fig, apple and lemon, also there are a lot of animals and birds living in the area and that that tourist can watch closely, such as seasonal birds, reptiles, and wild monkeys scattered over the trees, that the tourist can also caress them, and feed them.
This beautiful place it’s also accessible for visitors, but the summer and the spring seasons are the seasons in which tourism thrives in this site, there are also many restaurants and cafes to enjoy the magical view while taking your local meal, especially the Tagine.
The region of Ouzoud waterfalls also offers to the visitor the possibility of doing many activities, like fishing, especially in the waterfalls valleys and natural lakes in the region, besides riding the bicycles and hiking the mountains.
